Live Nation Sells SFX Baseball Division

"With the sale of SFX Baseball, our strategy to divest our sports properties is nearly complete," said Live Nation President and Chief Executive Officer Michael Rapino. "The sale of these assets will enable us to continue to refine our focus on our core businesses."

"This is an exciting day for the SFX Baseball Group," said Patrick Rooney, Managing Partner. "We look forward to returning to our roots as a baseball-only representation firm, and we want to thank Live Nation for all the support it has provided us over the past several years." SFX Baseball currently anticipates no significant changes to its business model and plans to operate in essentially the same manner it has for the past 20 plus years.

As was previously announced this summer, Live Nation sold its SFX Television, SFX Events and SFX Tennis divisions to the Kentucky-based company Blue Equity, LLC. Its Golf and Football divisions were previously sold to their respective division principals, Golf’s John Mascatello and Football’s Jim Steiner and Ben Dogra.
