Moshtix, a Live Nation Entertainment company, has announced that it has signed an exclusive ticketing deal with iconic music festival, Bluesfest Byron Bay.
From humble beginnings in 1990 as a one-day event, the festival now takes place over five days every Easter, with over 200 performances in front of crowds of up to 125,000 patrons. In 2019, the festival celebrated its 30th anniversary.
Following a select expression of interest process, Moshtix was awarded the prestigious account by Bluesfest and will become the festival’s primary ticketing platform for their 2020 event onwards.
Moshtix Managing Director Harley Evans said: “Moshtix is incredibly proud to be partnering with Bluesfest. We’re thrilled to bring our experience as Australia’s leading festival ticketing provider to the event and ‘make live easy’ for Bluesfest fans through our suite of products and services.”
Bluesfest Director Peter Noble OAM said: “It’s an exciting time for Bluesfest as we prepare to announce our first lineup for the 31st Byron Bay Bluesfest next Easter. I’m really looking forward to working together with the Moshtix and Ticketmaster teams to help us make Bluesfest 2020 the best yet.”
Moshtix continue to grow their festival ticketing partners, with Bluesfest joining the likes of Splendour in the Grass, Groovin the Moo, Laneway Festival, Spilt Milk, FOMO Festival, and more.
With more than 15 years’ experience in ticketing some of Australia’s most iconic festivals and events, and first-to-market technologies like its authorised resale platform, Moshtix brings its industry-leading expertise to enhance the experience for festival-goers.
Bluesfest customers will benefit from Moshtix’s constant investment in new technologies and marketing tools, including the ability to have their tickets delivered directly to their Facebook Messenger account via the MoshMessenger bot, and receiving friendly support from Moshtix’s dedicated, local customer service team.
Early Bird tickets for the 2020 festival are available now, with the highly anticipated first lineup announcement coming soon. To celebrate Moshtix’s new partnership with Australia’s most highly awarded festival, well-prepared fans can save 15% when they purchase 4 or more 3-Day or 5-Day Adult or Youth tickets. Bluesfest’s home is located on Bundjalung land at Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm, approximately 10 minutes north of Byron Bay, NSW Australia.
In February 2019, Moshtix joined the Ticketmaster family. Not only will Bluesfest now have access to Moshtix’s innovative technology and extensive database of engaged event-goers, but the festival will also have access to Ticketmaster’s unrivalled marketing, distribution, and reach.
