Katie Couric Announces All-Star Lineup To Join Her 2021 “Going There” Book Tour

Award winning journalist and best-selling author Katie Couric has revealed the nine special guests that will be joining her on the road for her 2021 Going There Tour, produced by Live Nation and in partnership with P&G.

In celebration of her forthcoming memoir, Going There, out on October 26th, the tour kicks off October 28th in Boston with special guest Tan France. Additionally, Couric will be in conversation with Saturday Night Live’s Chloe Fineman & Melissa Villaseñor in New York City, Kara Swisher in Washington, D.C., Savannah Guthrie in Philadelphia, Chance The Rapper in Chicago, Ina Garten in Atlanta, JenniferGarner in Los Angeles, Leslie Jordan in San Francisco, and Brad Paisley & Kimberly Williams-Paisley in Nashville. 

Additionally, Couric will be joined in each market by other compelling voices, such as Tarana Burke and Allison Russell.

Couric will chronicle her personal story, that of a thoroughly modern woman, whose journey took her from humble origins to superstardom. With her trademark empathy, humor, and charm, each stop will feature an intimate conversation that will make you laugh, cry, and think. 

The shows will also include Katie on stage revisiting events that have shaped our lives, with the people who were at the center of the headlines–from 9/11 and the Boston Marathon, to gun violence, cancer advocacy, the Me Too movement and more. She will also be spotlighting local grassroots charities in every city. 

The tour is in partnership with P&G, maker of Tide, Pampers and Olay.

Katie Couric (@katiecouric) is an award-winning journalist, New York Times best-selling author and a co-founder  of  Stand  Up  To  Cancer (SU2C).  Since  its  launch  in  2008,  Stand  Up  To  Cancer  has  raised  more than  $600  million  to  support  cutting  edge  collaborative  science  and  its  research  has  contributed  to nine new FDA approved therapies.

She was twice named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people and was a Glamour  Magazine  woman  of  the  year  three  times.  She  has  also  received  numerous  awards  for  her cancer  advocacy  work;  honored by  both  the  Harvard  and  Columbia  schools  of public  health,  the American Cancer Society and The American Association of Cancer Researchers.

In addition to writing The Best Advice I Ever Got: Lessons from Extraordinary Lives, Couric’s memoir, Going There, will be published in the Fall of 2021.
