Under this renewed agreement, Ticketmaster will continue to provide University of Missouri fans with a safe ticketing marketplace and seamless experience as its Official Ticketing Partner, expanding the partnership to power Mizzou’s primary and resale ticketing.

The University of Missouri installed Ticketmaster Presence™, the next-generation digital ticketing and access control platform, earlier this year at Mizzou Arena, which hosts the men’s and women’s basketball teams plus numerous concerts. This upcoming season, Mizzou will install Ticketmaster Presence™ at Faurot Field at Memorial Stadium, home of the Missouri Tigers football team, Missouri Theatre, and all other athletic venues on campus.  

By going digital-only, Mizzou fans will utilize SafeTix™, Ticketmaster’s latest enhancement to Presence that ties a unique, identifiable digital ticket to each fan’s mobile phone through an encrypted barcode that automatically refreshes every few seconds. SafeTix also provides fans with the ability to enter venues using a simple “tap and go” through NFC technology. With this new technology, fans can easily transfer tickets on their mobile device allowing fans to meet at their seats instead of the parking lot. SafeTix will be implemented at the University of Missouri in 2020.

In the wake of recent tragedy in Dayton’s Oregon District, several community partners have come together to present Gem City Shine, an Oregon District Benefit Concert and Community Event, hosted by Dave Chappelle, on Sunday, August 25, from 4 to 10 p.m. This event is free, but a ticket is required for admission. Visit Ticketmaster.com to secure up to two free tickets for the event. Tickets to this event are restricted to residents of Dayton, Ohio, and the surrounding areas. Patrons must register via Verified Fan on Ticketmaster.

This event will honor the lives lost and to reclaim the community’s favorite places to shop, dine and enjoy time with family and friends. There will be several ways for attendees to contribute to both The Dayton Foundation’s Oregon District Tragedy Fund and Oregon District Business Association, which is assisting local businesses with recovery.

Local and national entertainment will be featured on a main stage located near Fifth Street and Wayne Avenue, with performances throughout the late afternoon and evening.

In preparation for the event, Fifth Street will be closed between Patterson Boulevard and Wayne Avenue as early as 6 a.m. Sunday morning, with additional closures along Wayne Avenue between Fourth and Van Buren streets, and will reopen late Sunday night to early Monday morning. Free parking is available at the University of Dayton Arena lots A, B and C, with complimentary shuttles provided by Greater Dayton RTA.

Event guests are encouraged to shop at Oregon District stores and dine at the many restaurants and pubs. Additional food vendors and beer trucks will be on hand to provide refreshments for purchase. Commemorative t-shirts will also be free with a minimum donation of $20, with proceeds benefiting the tragedy fund at the Dayton Foundation. The food pavilion and family entertainment area will be located in the parking lot adjacent to Omega Music near the Fifth and Patterson intersection on the east side of the District. Guests are encouraged to visit this location to participate in a community art project. Beer trucks, soda/water stations, t-shirt stations, and donation stations will be located at several places throughout the District. 

Volunteers are needed to make this event a success! Visit DowntownDayton.org to sign up for a preferred activity and time shift.

This is a weapon-free event; security stations with metal detectors will be set up at each gate. Attendees should plan for extra time to check in. For safety concerns, and to expedite the check-in process, please do not bring large purses, backpacks, or other large bags. 

No professional cameras allowed except for credentialed members of the media.  For the enjoyment of all audience members, Dave Chappelle encourages the attendees to “live in the moment” and simply enjoy the experience rather than record via cellphone.

In speaking about the new song, FINNEAS reveals, “I wrote this song a couple years ago and just let it percolate for a while, seeing how it would age,” he explains. “When I looked through my music to release this year, I came across the demo and was pleasantly surprised to find I still liked it.”  He continues. “Usually, I get bored of my stuff almost immediately. I wanted this song to have an urgency to it when I recorded it, the same way that the lyrics do—the kind of feverish feeling that accompanies loving someone.”

Explaining the title of his EP, FINNEASshares, “I would love for this title to remain ambiguous to listeners and for everyone to be able to imbue it with their own meaning and justification.” As the sole collaborator, producer and elder brother to Billie Eilish, he elaborates. “Themost common use of the term blood harmony is an English expression for what it sounds like when siblings sing together, that biologic chemistry—I think that speaks for itself.”

The House of Blues Music Forward Foundation today announced its first-ever Ambassadors Council featuring a virtual who’s who of GRAMMY®, American Music, Academy of Country Music and Billboard Music Award-winning artists including Benny Blanco, Sofia Carson, Lauren Daigle, Chris Janson, Khalid, Martina McBride, Julia Michaels, Carlos Santana and Umphrey’s McGee

Each Music Forward Ambassador will contribute in a variety of ways including mentoring aspiring artists, speaking at educational youth workshops, donating funds from ticket sales and providing exclusive music memorabilia for auction. The council, boasting artists that have sold over 100 million albums, will be using their various platforms to call attention to the foundation’s vital work.  

As part of the House of Blues and Live Nation Entertainment family, the Music Forward Foundation is focused on providing young people from diverse communities interested in music industry careers with artist development, educational and mentoring programs.

Global superstar Khalid announces today that on September 1st he will headline a benefit concert along with special guests at the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, TX. In support of his hometown of El Paso and in response to the tragic mass shooting on August 3, 2019,  Khalid will be raising funds through this concert to support the El Paso Shooting Victims’ Fund and the El Paso Community Foundation.  

Tickets for the concert will go on sale beginning this Wednesday, August 14th at 10am local time at LiveNation.com. This event is presented by The Great Khalid Foundation and manager Courtney Stewart’s Right Hand Foundation, and produced by Live Nation.

New Twin Cities Concert Venue Scheduled to Open in February 2020

Plans  to create one of the most beautiful venues in the United States  were unveiled today for The Fillmore Minneapolis music hall that will pay tribute to both the roots of the Minneapolis music scene and to one of the most legendary music halls in the history of rock. The concert venue, next to Target Field Station at 521 N. 5th Street in Minneapolis, is slated to open for shows in February 2020.

The 36,000-square-foot, 1,850-person capacity The Fillmore Minneapolis will continue Live Nation’s growth in the Twin Cities market.  Live Nation is a long time promoter there, having produced shows in venues such as Target Field, U.S. Bank Stadium, Xcel Energy Center, Target Center, The Armory, The Hennepin Theaters and more for many years.  The last two years in particular have seen rapid expansion with the addition of operations at Varsity Theater, the booking of the 2019 Basilica Block Party, and a show count that has more than doubled over that period. Minneapolis talent buyer Tamsen Preston will book for The Fillmore Minneapolis whose music lineup announcement is scheduled for October.

The state-of-the-art intimate venue featuring incredible sightlines plans to host 175 concerts and events per year . The Fillmore Minneapolis music hall, VIP lounge and private box seats feature thoughtful design elements, including Fillmore nostalgia from the original San Francisco venue, traditional signature Fillmore red velvet drapes, a wood dance floor, murals, chandeliers and other local Minneapolis features to ensure a night out at the Fillmore will always be special. Box seats and premium tickets are on the venue’s mezzanine level, featuring custom artwork  paying homage to Prince. Also, on the mezzanine level will be the luxurious BG’s Lounge, named for legendary Fillmore promoter Bill Graham, showcasing framed Fillmore posters featuring Minnesota artists and bands who have played at The Fillmore music venues. BG’s—with its unique “elevated vibe”—is planned to be the premium “club within a club” for fans to relax pre- and post-sows and even book for private parties.

With Ticketmaster Presence™ Installed in Five Athletic Facilities in 2019-2020, Penn State Will Be the First University to Roll Out Presence-Enabled SafeTix™ Technology For its Students at Beaver Stadium Football Games in 2019

Los Angeles, CA — Ticketmaster, the global leader in ticketing, and Penn State University today announced the extension of their official ticketing partnership. With this renewal, Ticketmaster will continue to serve as the official ticketing partner and expand Penn State Athletics’ implementation of Ticketmaster Presence™, its next-generation venue access control and fan engagement platform. Following its successful launch at Pegula Ice Arena prior to the 2018-19 season and at Panzer Stadium this past spring, Presence will now be leveraged at all five major PSU athletics venues, with the addition of Beaver Stadium, the second-largest collegiate football stadium in the United States, Bryce Jordan Center, and Rec Hall.

In 2018, Penn State Athletics first announced it would be fully transitioning to digital ticketing at Beaver Stadium for the 2019 season, with all other Penn State Athletics venues going digital in October 2018. Fans can now easily access their digital tickets on their mobile device via the Ticketmaster app or by downloading them to their mobile wallet. As a result, Print-at-Home PDF tickets will no longer be accepted for entry at PSU home games, which will significantly reduce ticket fraud and create an even more seamless venue entry experience for fans.

Penn State will be the first college to leverage SafeTix™ for all students at upcoming 2019 football games at Beaver Stadium. This new technology is the latest enhancement to Ticketmaster Presence for digital tickets, which provides easy and safe student access while eliminating ticket fraud. Each ticket is tied uniquely to the student’s identity and account and is presented for entry as a dynamically changing encrypted barcode. Students can also save their ticket in their mobile wallet and be granted access through an efficient NFC-enabled tap and go action.

With more than 21,000 season tickets selling out earlier this summer, an important feature of the Presence-enabled digital tickets is the easy student-to-student transfer capability that simplifies access for more students to see Penn State Football games.
