LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–March 21, 2006–Live Nation (NYSE:LYV), a leading live content and distribution company, today announced that John Vlautin has joined the company as Vice President of Communications. Based in the company’s Los Angeles headquarters and reporting to Marketing President, Faisel Durrani, Mr. Vlautin will be responsible for the company’s corporate communications initiatives and outreach. He will also liaise with Live Nation’s content providers in the publicizing of tour launches and other live events.
Most recently Mr. Vlautin headed SpinLab, a widely respected independent public relations firm where he worked with such artists as Dave Matthews Band, Maroon 5, O.A.R., Damian Marley and Ray LaMontagne, to name a few. He was also a communications consultant for such business enterprises as Chrysalis Music Publishing, Music Today and Indie911. Prior to opening SpinLab, Mr. Vlautin served as Senior Vice President Communications at Island Def Jam Records, joining Island Records in 1990 and remaining at the label until 2000. During his tenure at the label, he was responsible for the label’s corporate communications efforts and oversaw publicity campaigns for such artists as U2, Willie Nelson, Elton John, Bob Marley and others.
