Live Earth, which was founded by the event’s Executive Producer Kevin Wall, is a monumental music event that will bring together more than 2 billion people to combat the climate crisis. Live Earth’s 24 hours of music across 7 continents will deliver a call to action and the solutions needed to answer the call. Live Earth marks the beginning of a multi-year campaign led by The Alliance for Climate Protection to move individuals, corporations and governments to take action.

Live Nation played a major role in the recent Live8 concerts that were staged around the globe in 2005. The company staged the events in London, Philadelphia, and Berlin.

Commenting on the Live Earth London show, Stuart Galbraith, Managing Director Live Nation (UK) Music said: "We are very pleased to have been entrusted to stage the concert at the new Wembley Stadium in London and are anticipating massive demand for Live Earth tickets."

Bruce Moran, President of Live Nation New York said: "It is a testament to our global reach at Live Nation that we are able to stage concerts on two continents simultaneously on the same day. This is an extraordinary undertaking and we are proud to be involved in the production of this event in multiple cities around the world."

Tickets for the London event will be allocated by ballot beginning on Friday, April 13th in an effort to ensure that all music fans have an equal opportunity to access tickets. In the United States tickets will go on sale Monday, April 16th at 10a.m. EDT. Fans are encouraged to go to www.livenation.co.uk/liveearth or www.livenation.com for information on how to buy tickets.
