The new product offerings give registered LiveNation.com members exclusive access to the best seats in the house for a premium price. Fans will also have the ability to purchase preferred parking which is generally closer to the venue entrance, as well as special access to premium bar and lounge areas at select venues.
“LiveNation.com already resonates with music fans because it provides them with a powerful tool to search for live music shows in their area,” said Michael Rapino, Chief Executive Officer of Live Nation. “Now with our exclusive ticket and parking offerings, fans have even more reasons to visit LiveNation.com. In addition, our premium seat program helps us and the artist participate in the revenue generated from these ticket sales that might otherwise go to scalpers. Our goal is for LiveNation.com to provide a strong artist to fan sales channel for all music related products.”
Launched less than a year ago, LiveNation.com has already become a leading destination for music fans as a live music search engine offering concert tickets, tour dates and information on artists and venues to fans around the world. The added e-commerce offerings are expected to bring an increase in traffic to Live Nation’s websites, which collectively are the second most visited event websites in the United States, according to Nielsen//NetRatings.
