“This summer we are staging concerts in more than 30 countries around the world,” said Michael Rapino, President and Chief Executive Officer of Live Nation. “We expect a very strong season as our global platform will be fully utilized by an anticipated 7,500 shows during our busiest season. That means that from May 1st until the end of September we will produce an average of nearly 50 shows per day — that’s one every half hour, 24 hours a day — a volume which illustrates the unparalleled capacity of our global promotion and marketing infrastructure. By the end of the summer, we currently anticipate that we will have sold more than 27 million concert tickets worldwide.”
