World’s leading ticketing agent lands in the home of Mozart and Beethoven
VIENNA (21 June 2013) – Live Nation Entertainment today announced the launch of Ticketmaster, the world’s leading ticketing company, in Austria. Ticketmaster International extends its European presence into a second German-language market, following the installation of its pan-European ticketing platform in Germany in 2011.
Numerous promoters operating both in Germany and Austria, including Germany’s Deutsche Entertainment AG (DEAG), will channel their Austrian content through the new www.ticketmaster.at platform. From its office in Vienna, Ticketmaster intends to provide services for organisers of events in all live sectors, including music, sports, arts, festivals, family events and attractions.
The first tickets sold on the platform this week, were for Austrian André Heller’s exceedingly successful touring production of Afrika! Afrika! in Vienna. Commenting on this promoter Faiza C. Hoffmann said: “We are thrilled that we were the first to sell tickets on the new Ticketmaster.at platform and are looking forward to working with the team on maximizing sales for our shows now and in the future.”
