MELBOURNE (March 14, 2014) – Live Nation Australia and New Zealand, a Live Nation Entertainment (NYSE:LYV) company, is pleased to announce the launch of a Family Entertainment Division. Graham Kennedy joins Live Nation Australia as Head of Family Entertainment.
Graham has over 30 years industry experience, most recently as the senior manager of global touring for The Wiggles, where he managed their touring and live events across 10 countries.
He has also considerable label experience after spending eight years as label and marketing manager with Festival Mushroom and then Warner Records, heading up their Children’s division and overseeing all Disney music activities within Australia.
Locally, the Live Nation Family Division is looking to forge long-term partnerships with existing and emerging brands that will have live touring potential in Australia, as well as developing this area through Live Nation’s unique global network.
The new Family Division follows the very successful launch of the Live Nation Australia’s Comedy Division in 2012.
Recent comedy highlights have included sell out tours for Dave Chappelle, The Wayans Brothers, Jason Byrne and Alan Davies.
To service the increasing number of comedy tours, the Live Nation Australia Comedy division is now expanding, with Katie Minchin joining Live Nation Australia as a comedy promoter.
Katie has wealth of comedy experience, having previously worked at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and at Gilded Balloon at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Katie brings with her a significant network of contacts within the U.K. and Australia comedy scenes and can’t wait to get started.
