FREE RIDES HOME ON TTC AND METROLINX FOR CONCERTGOERS ALL SUMMER

June 26, 2025 (Toronto, ON) – Today Live Nation Canada celebrated the opening of Rogers Stadium, a new seasonal outdoor concert venue. With a capacity of 50,000, Rogers Stadium is the GTA’s largest purpose-built music venue and will host artists and fans from around the world.

Built as a unique open-air experience with a focus on sustainability, this temporary facility is Canada’s newest landmark concert destination, reinforcing Toronto’s reputation as must-play market on the global music scene. Rogers Stadium is located at YZD (former Downsview Airport Lands) with easy access to 400-series highways and public transit. The venue will generate thousands of jobs, boost tourism, support local businesses and inject an estimated $80-$100 million into the local economy.

“We’ve made this investment to ensure that fans in Toronto don’t miss out on world-class artists. As part of its commitment to creating a great fan experience ingrained in sustainability, Live Nation Canada is providing free rides home on the TTC and GO Transit after all 14 shows at Rogers Stadium this summer. Following shows, fans will be able to take the subway from Sheppard West, Downsview Park and Wilson Stations as well as the GO train from Downsview Park Station. Both the TTC and Metrolinx are also running additional service on show nights to help manage crowds in the area.

Rogers is bringing the latest 5G+ technology to Rogers Stadium. Through a $5.2 million investment, the company has installed a new in-building network system and antenna infrastructure that offers coverage equivalent to 14 downtown towers.

Additionally, Rogers is enhancing the experience on-site for fans and customers. Through Rogers Beyond the Seat, a national program that delivers premier sports and entertainment experiences, Rogers customers heading on-site can enter through the exclusive Rogers Beyond the Seat entrance. Rogers is also introducing a personalized video recap called Rogers Replay where fan-generated content is combined with professional footage to deliver a completely customized digital keepsake for concertgoers. This is a first-of-its-kind fan experience for concerts in Canada.

Tonight, music took center stage at the legendary Rose Bowl Stadium as Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Jelly Roll and Live Nation held A Concert for All First Responders with a historic crowd of nearly 16,000 emergency personnel, including more than 1,000 incarcerated firefighters from across California. Live Nation partnered with Jelly Roll on the special event to cover costs associated with the show and, with support from the Rose Bowl Stadium, helped produce the concert to thank wildfire first responders.

Under this renewed agreement, Ticketmaster will continue to provide University of Missouri fans with a safe ticketing marketplace and seamless experience as its Official Ticketing Partner, expanding the partnership to power Mizzou’s primary and resale ticketing.

The University of Missouri installed Ticketmaster Presence™, the next-generation digital ticketing and access control platform, earlier this year at Mizzou Arena, which hosts the men’s and women’s basketball teams plus numerous concerts. SafeTix will be implemented at the University of Missouri in 2020.

In the wake of recent tragedy in Dayton’s Oregon District, several community partners have come together to present Gem City Shine, an Oregon District Benefit Concert and Community Event, hosted by Dave Chappelle, on Sunday, August 25, from 4 to 10 p.m. This event is free, but a ticket is required for admission. Visit Ticketmaster.com to secure up to two free tickets for the event. Tickets to this event are restricted to residents of Dayton, Ohio, and the surrounding areas. Patrons must register via Verified Fan on Ticketmaster.

This event will honor the lives lost and to reclaim the community’s favorite places to shop, dine and enjoy time with family and friends. There will be several ways for attendees to contribute to both The Dayton Foundation’s Oregon District Tragedy Fund and Oregon District Business Association, which is assisting local businesses with recovery.

Local and national entertainment will be featured on a main stage located near Fifth Street and Wayne Avenue, with performances throughout the late afternoon and evening.

In preparation for the event, Fifth Street will be closed between Patterson Boulevard and Wayne Avenue as early as 6 a.m. Sunday morning, with additional closures along Wayne Avenue between Fourth and Van Buren streets, and will reopen late Sunday night to early Monday morning. Free parking is available at the University of Dayton Arena lots A, B and C, with complimentary shuttles provided by Greater Dayton RTA.

Event guests are encouraged to shop at Oregon District stores and dine at the many restaurants and pubs. Additional food vendors and beer trucks will be on hand to provide refreshments for purchase. Commemorative t-shirts will also be free with a minimum donation of $20, with proceeds benefiting the tragedy fund at the Dayton Foundation. The food pavilion and family entertainment area will be located in the parking lot adjacent to Omega Music near the Fifth and Patterson intersection on the east side of the District. Guests are encouraged to visit this location to participate in a community art project. Beer trucks, soda/water stations, t-shirt stations, and donation stations will be located at several places throughout the District. 

Volunteers are needed to make this event a success! Visit DowntownDayton.org to sign up for a preferred activity and time shift.

This is a weapon-free event; security stations with metal detectors will be set up at each gate. Attendees should plan for extra time to check in. For safety concerns, and to expedite the check-in process, please do not bring large purses, backpacks, or other large bags. 

No professional cameras allowed except for credentialed members of the media.  For the enjoyment of all audience members, Dave Chappelle encourages the attendees to “live in the moment” and simply enjoy the experience rather than record via cellphone. 

Gem City Shine is organized and hosted by the Oregon District Business Association, the Downtown Dayton Partnership, the City of Dayton, the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, Dayton Police Department, the Dayton-Montgomery County Convention & Visitors Bureau, The Dayton Foundation, Greater Dayton RTA, and numerous other partners and donors.

Today, 22-year-old songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and artist FINNEAS, releases his latest song “Shelter.” With this release comes the exciting news of his highly awaited debut EP, Blood Harmony, out on October 4

In speaking about the new song, FINNEAS reveals, “I wrote this song a couple years ago and just let it percolate for a while, seeing how it would age,” he explains. “When I looked through my music to release this year, I came across the demo and was pleasantly surprised to find I still liked it.”  He continues. “Usually, I get bored of my stuff almost immediately. I wanted this song to have an urgency to it when I recorded it, the same way that the lyrics do—the kind of feverish feeling that accompanies loving someone.”

Explaining the title of his EP, FINNEASshares, “I would love for this title to remain ambiguous to listeners and for everyone to be able to imbue it with their own meaning and justification.” As the sole collaborator, producer and elder brother to Billie Eilish, he elaborates. “Themost common use of the term blood harmony is an English expression for what it sounds like when siblings sing together, that biologic chemistry—I think that speaks for itself.”

This fall, in addition to playing Austin City Limits Music Festival (TICKETS HERE), FINNEAS will embark on his first headlining tour. Kicking off October 15in San Francisco, the five date run will see him play Los Angeles’ iconic Masonic Lodge at the famed Hollywood Forever Cemetery before heading off to Chicago and Brooklyn and concluding in Boston on October 24.

The House of Blues Music Forward Foundation today announced its first-ever Ambassadors Council featuring a virtual who’s who of GRAMMY®, American Music, Academy of Country Music and Billboard Music Award-winning artists including Benny Blanco, Sofia Carson, Lauren Daigle, Chris Janson, Khalid, Martina McBride, Julia Michaels, Carlos Santana and Umphrey’s McGee

Each Music Forward Ambassador will contribute in a variety of ways including mentoring aspiring artists, speaking at educational youth workshops, donating funds from ticket sales and providing exclusive music memorabilia for auction. The council, boasting artists that have sold over 100 million albums, will be using their various platforms to call attention to the foundation’s vital work.  

As part of the House of Blues and Live Nation Entertainment family, the Music Forward Foundation is focused on providing young people from diverse communities interested in music industry careers with artist development, educational and mentoring programs.  

“I’m honored to join together with the House of Blues Music Forward Foundation to inspire young people to channel their passion for music into a career and to use their voice to make a positive difference in the world,” said Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Carlos Santana

“It’s important to have foundations that involve music,” said multi-platinum artist Khalid. “There are so many kids who don’t have the resources or information to get started in the music business. Music Forward provides free vocational training in the music industry to underserved youth, improving economic opportunity and building a more diverse pipeline of talent for the creative economy. It has impacted over 1 million young lives and invested $25 million in transformational music programs during the last 25 years. One hundred percent of the foundation’s alumni are employed or in school, and 94% regularly leverage skills and knowledge that they’ve gained from Music Forward.
